Dr. Das is one of the well known chest specialist/Pulmonologist of Kolkata and North 24 Parganas. He is at present posted as Professor in the Department of Respiratory Medicine in Medical College, Kolkata, which is one of the prestigious teaching Institution of India and Asia.

He is an eminent teacher of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Respiratory Medicine.

He performs OPD and indoor duties in Medical College Hospital. He is associated with academic and research activites of the Institution.

Education:

He passed Madhyamik Pariksha in 1982 from Gopalnagar B L Bidyapith, Purba Medinipur.

Passed Higher secondary examination in 1984 from Changrachak JS Vidyapith and stood 13th in order of merit scoring 87% marks.

Graduated from RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata in 1989.

Passed Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases(DTCD)in 1993 from Medical College, Kolkata.

Completed postgraduate degree MD in Respiratory Medicine from Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (IPGMER), Kolkata in 1996.
